Hoosier Hills Hamfest – 2026 – Hoosier Hills Hamfest

Our September meeting was held on Tuesday, September 15, and this was our annual family picnic which was in the west shelter house in Legion Park in Owensboro. A fox hunt took place in the park before our meal with several participating in trying to find a hidden transmitter putting out a periodic beacon. After a diligent search of the park, the first person to find the “fox” was Mark Kenady KM4CC. Despite the warm temperatures, we had a decent turnout of members, guests, and their families. The potluck dinner was enjoyed by all, and kudos to vice president Jim Thompson WB0NEX for manning the barbecue grill and cooking up some great burgers and hot dogs!
